Privacy Policy

QuantLabs ("we", "us", or "our") provides stock, ETF, sector, and industry analysis tools. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and a unique account identifier from that provider, which we use to create and maintain your QuantLabs account (stored in our Firestore database). We do not receive or store your password for these providers.
Usage data. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g. which pages are visited), which may include general device and browser information. This data is aggregated and not used to individually profile you outside of standard product analytics.
AI-generated content.Some parts of the app (such as the fundamentals overview) use Firebase AI Logic to generate text via Google's Gemini models. When you use these features, the financial data shown on that page is sent to Google as part of the request to generate a summary. We do not send your account information (name, email, or identifiers) as part of these requests.
Brokerage account data (optional, when available).If QuantLabs offers the ability to connect a Questrade brokerage account, we will request your permission through Questrade's own authorization flow and access only the account information needed to provide that feature (such as holdings or balances). We do not receive your Questrade login credentials — authorization is handled entirely by Questrade.
How we use your information
We use the information above to operate and improve QuantLabs: to authenticate you, keep your account and preferences, generate the analysis features you request, diagnose issues, and understand overall usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information with the service providers that power the app, and only to the extent needed for them to do so: Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, and AI Logic), Meta (Facebook Login), and, if you choose to connect a brokerage account, Questrade. We do not share your information with other third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, and you can choose whether QuantLabs remembers your sign-in across browser sessions via the "Remember me" option at login. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your profile settings — this permanently removes your QuantLabs account record and revokes your session.
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your account record from our database; some information may persist briefly in backups or logs before it is fully purged.
